Therapy for Gamers,
Geeks & Neurodivergent Minds
ADHD • Autism • Trauma • Relationships
London & Online UK

You don’t need fixing.
You need therapy that understands how your mind works.

Hi, I’m Hendri Cawood.
I’m a London-based Integrative Practitioner specialising in neurodivergent adults, trauma, and relationships. I work with people who have spent much of their lives feeling misunderstood, mislabelled, or out of place, including in therapy spaces that never quite fit.
I am neurodivergent myself, late-diagnosed ADHD and dyslexic, and part of the LGBTQ+ community. My approach is grounded in Relational Transactional Analysis and shaped by trauma-informed practice, lived experience, and years of working in high-pressure environments as a former military medic and paramedic. Therapy with me is collaborative, flexible, and adapted to how you think, feel, and make meaning.
How I work and why it feels different
Therapy here is:
-
Collaborative rather than clinical
-
Flexible to how you think and communicate
-
Adapted to sensory, attention, and processing needs
-
Curious about patterns, not judgmental about them
-
Inclusive of neurodivergent, LGBTQ+ and alternative identities
I often meet clients through their interests such as gaming, stories, characters, systems and fandoms because meaning-making works best in a language that already feels safe.
I work at the intersection of neurodivergence and trauma, using a relational approach grounded in Transactional Analysis. This means we explore patterns together, how you relate to yourself, to others, and to the world, in a way that feels collaborative and respectful.
Therapy here is shaped around you. It is not about fitting you into a model, but creating a space that works with how your mind already operates.
I work particularly well with

Therapy that meets you where you are
I don't offer one-size-fits-all therapy. I work relationally and collaboratively, adapting the work to how you think, process, and make meaning.
For many of the people I work with, traditional therapy has felt confusing, inaccessible, or simply not built for their minds. I often use familiar frameworks such as games, stories, characters, and systems as a shared language, because insight and change happen more easily when you feel safe and understood.
This is still psychotherapy. Just delivered in a way that fits you.
Ready to take the next step?
Starting therapy can feel daunting, but it doesn’t have to be complicated.
Here’s how to begin:
1
Initial chat
A short, free consultation to understand what you are looking for and whether this feels like the right space.
2
Agree a way forward
If we decide to work together, we agree practical details and set up sessions.
3
Ongoing support
Therapy begins, with regular check ins to make sure the process is working for you.

My values
I believe therapy should be inclusive, accessible, and affirming.
I’m committed to providing a safe, respectful space for people of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities, including LGBTQIA+ clients, neurodivergent individuals, and those living with disability or chronic illness.
